Speciality Area

Dr Andrew Pan is a Consultant Neurologist and Epileptologist at the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre. He is also a Visiting Consultant at the National Neuroscience Institute-Singapore General Hospital.

He received his MBBS at the National University of Singapore and is an accredited Neurologist with the Ministry of Health (Singapore). He is also a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (Chapter of Neurology).

Dr Pan was an appointed Fellow with the Department of Neurology, Section of Epilepsy at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (Ohio, USA) and was also awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan scholarship to further his sub-speciality training in Epilepsy. He was also schooled in Sleep Medicine and Intra-operative electrophysiology during his 2-year stint (1999-2000).

He is currently the Vice President of the Western Pacific Regional committee for the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE) and is also an appointed teacher and examiner for the Asian Epilepsy Academy.

Locally, Dr Pan is an office bearer of the Singapore Sleep Society and the Singapore Epilepsy Society and the medical advisor to the Singapore Epilepsy Foundation. He has also been appointed as a member of the Neurology Specialist Training Committee of the Ministry of Health, Singapore and the Vice-Chairman of the Chapter of Neurology, College of Physicians, Singapore. He was formerly a Consultant at the National Neuroscience Institute-Singapore General Hospital Campus, where he was the Service Director for EEG & Epilepsy.

Dr Pan has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed local and international journals. He has also been an invited speaker at conferences in Malaysia, Bangladesh, Australia, Thailand, Nepal, Japan and the USA.
